Brief Overview
Due to its comparatively high nutrient content, diammonium phosphate, a water-soluble ammonium salt, is one of the most often used phosphorus fertilizers.
Manufacturing Process
Phosphoric acid and ammonia are reacted under controlled conditions to produce diammonium phosphate. The heated slurry is subsequently cooled, granulated, and sieved. It works well with low pH soil because it includes two ammonia molecules, one of which will turn back into ammonia in an alkaline environment.
